A high-profile Federal Government agency is seeking experienced System Administrators / Infrastructure Engineers to support and maintain critical ICT infrastructure within a complex, high-security environment. These roles form part of a specialist technical team responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability and performance of enterprise systems while complying with strict security policies and operational standards. On offer are 12-month contracts with 2 × 12-month extension options.

The successful System Administrators / Infrastructure Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Investigating, diagnosing and resolving infrastructure and network issues
• Installing, configuring and decommissioning complex systems and components
• Designing and implementing infrastructure changes and maintenance routines
• Monitoring system performance, capacity and availability
• Applying and contributing to security standards, policies and technical guidelines
• Building strong working relationships and contributing to team-based delivery

The successful System Administrators / Infrastructure Engineers will have experiences in the following:

• Infrastructure management and performance monitoring tools
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex system and network issues
• Automation and scripting for infrastructure support and maintenance
• Working across physical, virtualised and cloud-based environments
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols and architectures
• Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or equivalent practical experience
