One of Australia’s leading Federal Government agencies is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a high-performing analytics team delivering impactful, data driven outcomes across national initiatives. This role sits within a technically focused team driving advanced analytics, AI innovation and strategic modelling to support large-scale enterprise decision making.

The successful Data Scientist will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Researching and implementing innovative AI and data science techniques to solve complex business problems
• Designing and developing statistical and mathematical models to support strategic initiatives and new product development
• Undertaking advanced modelling and analytical activities to support executive and program-level decision making
• Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders and presenting analytical insights clearly to varied audiences

The successful Data Scientist will have experience in the following:

• 4+ years’ experience as a Data Scientist within public or private sector environments
• Strong Python or R programming skills including data manipulation, modelling and deployment
• Demonstrated application of Artificial Intelligence and advanced data science methodologies
• Experience engaging with complex stakeholders and translating technical outputs into business insights
