We are seeking Senior Release Train Engineer to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Release Train Engineer will play a key role in supporting and coaching an Agile Release Train, facilitating key SAFe ceremonies, managing risks and dependencies, and driving continuous improvement across delivery teams. The successful Senior Release Train Engineer will secure an initial 12-month contract with 1x12 month extension options, based in Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney.

The Release Train Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to.

• Planning, organising and facilitating ceremonies
• Coaching delivery teams and Scrum Masters on Agile, Scrum and SAFe practices
• Managing risks, impediments and dependencies across multiple delivery teams
• Tracking feature and capability delivery, milestones, cadence and release progress
• Measuring performance and maturity, using KPIs, OKRs and delivery metrics to identify improvement opportunities

The Release Train Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Strong understanding of and experience with SAFe, Scrum and/or Kanban
• Experience leading and facilitating Agile ceremonies in complex delivery environments
• Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, influence and lead teams through Agile delivery
• Experience using enterprise Agile planning tools
