An Australian Federal Government environment is seeking to engage multiple highly skilled and experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineers / Automation Engineers to support the delivery of critical digital platforms. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, security and reliability of complex software solutions through rigorous testing practices across the full software development lifecycle. The role is available Australia wide, with flexible working arrangements. The successful candidates will be offered an initial 12-month contract with up to two 12-month extension options.

The successful Software Quality Assurance Engineers / Automation Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to: 

• Develop clear acceptance criteria for functional and non-functional requirements
• Design, execute and maintain manual and automated test cases
• Perform functional, regression, security and performance testing
• Work closely with delivery teams to ensure quality outcomes across the SDLC
• Provide authoritative guidance on testing strategies, tools and quality standards

The successful Software Quality Assurance Engineers / Automation Engineers will have experience in the following:

• Strong experience delivering testing activities across the full SDLC
• Hands-on experience with automated testing for web applications (e.g. Playwright)
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Gherkin or Reqnroll
• C# test automation experience and CI/CD execution (e.g. Azure DevOps)
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and able to obtain Baseline clearance
