We are seeking experienced Service Management Officers (Cyber Security / ICT Operations) to join a high-performing Federal Government agency within the Defence portfolio.

This exciting opportunity will see you supporting the delivery, operation and continuous improvement of complex ICT and cyber security environments, contributing to systems that protect Australia’s national interests.

The Service Management Officers will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Supporting the implementation and maintenance of complex ICT environments, including Windows and Linux systems
• Monitoring, managing and responding to incidents, problems and service requests in line with IT service management processes
• Diagnosing faults, identifying solutions or workarounds, and escalating issues where required
• Contributing to the resolution of operational ICT issues in accordance with agreed standards and procedures
• Assisting in the development of knowledge articles, documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

The Service Management Officers will have experience in the following:

• Experience in ICT service management, cyber security operations or enterprise IT environments
• Strong capability in incident management, problem resolution and service delivery (aligned with SFIA/ITIL practices)
• Experience administering Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Exposure to infrastructure technologies, including virtualisation, storage or databases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex, high-security environments
