A leading Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a strategic ICT project focused on establishing an enterprise capability for decommissioned business systems and datasets. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project delivery, governance, stakeholder engagement, vendor management and reporting activities while ensuring outcomes are delivered on time and within budget. The Project Manager will secure an initial 6-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options, based in Canberra, ACT with hybrid working arrangements.

The Project Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Leading the planning, execution and delivery of complex ICT projects and related initiatives.
• Managing project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinating technical teams, business stakeholders and third-party vendors to deliver project outcomes.
• Preparing governance artefacts, project reports, executive briefings and board papers.
• Overseeing project testing, change management and milestone delivery activities.

The Project Manager will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale and complex ICT projects or transformation programs.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, vendors and stakeholder groups within complex environments.
• Strong project governance, financial management, risk management and reporting experience.
• Excellent communication skills, including preparing and presenting information to senior executives and governance boards.
• Experience working with project management frameworks, methodologies and tools, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
