A leading Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Senior Program Support Officer to provide high-level administrative, coordination and governance support within a complex program environment. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in supporting program delivery, maintaining oversight of priorities, risks and actions, and ensuring effective coordination across multiple stakeholders. This role is offered on an initial 12-month contract with a 12-month extension option, with hybrid working arrangements available across ACT, NSW, VIC and SA.

The successful Senior Program Support Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Providing high-level program coordination and administrative support to senior program leadership.
• Coordinating program actions, milestones, deliverables and deadlines, ensuring timely follow-up and escalation where required.
• Maintaining program trackers, schedules, action registers and reporting tools to monitor progress and priorities.
• Supporting governance activities including agendas, briefing papers, meeting minutes, status reports and action items.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and support issue resolution.

The successful Senior Program Support Officer will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience providing high-level program, project or executive support within complex and fast-paced environments.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple activities simultaneously.
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships while managing expectations across diverse teams.
• Strong judgement and initiative, with experience identifying risks, anticipating requirements and escalating issues appropriately.
• Excellent written communication skills, including the preparation of briefs, reports, correspondence and governance documentation.
