A high-profile Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support the development, enhancement and maintenance of critical enterprise applications. You will work across M204, ISIS and mainframe technologies, delivering high-quality technical solutions while contributing to software design, testing, integration and ongoing application support.
The successful Mainframe Developer will be offered an initial 12-month contract with the view to be extended, based in QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW or SA. Hybrid working arrangements may be considered following an initial onsite period.
The successful Mainframe Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Design, develop, test and maintain complex mainframe applications and software solutions.
Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective technical designs and solutions.
Support system integration, software releases, deployment and ongoing application maintenance.
Prepare technical documentation, troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to development teams.
The successful Mainframe Developer will have experience in the following:
Strong hands-on development experience with M204 and ISIS.
Software development lifecycle, technical design, programming and testing.
Systems integration, software configuration, release and deployment processes.
Technical documentation, problem-solving and mentoring junior developers.
Candidates must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance.
