A high-profile Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced Lead Cyber Security Architect to provide strategic security architecture leadership across complex ICT platforms and digital transformation initiatives. You will work across Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud environments, Zero Trust architecture and Australian Government cyber security frameworks, ensuring critical technology solutions are secure, resilient and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. The successful Lead Cyber Security Architect will be offered an initial 12-month contract with the view to be extended, based in QLD, WA, VIC, NSW or SA, with hybrid working arrangements subject to approval following an initial onsite period.

The successful Lead Cyber Security Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Design and review secure end-to-end solution architectures across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.

• Develop security architecture artefacts, technical standards and risk-based recommendations aligned with enterprise architecture strategies.

• Identify and address cyber security risks, architectural gaps and solution design issues throughout the ICT delivery lifecycle.

• Provide strategic technical advice to senior stakeholders, governance forums and multidisciplinary delivery teams.

The successful Lead Cyber Security Architect will have experience in the following:

• Cyber security architecture across Azure, AWS and on-premises environments, including identity and access management, encryption and network security.

• Zero Trust architecture, network segmentation, secure-by-design principles and hybrid cloud security.

• Australian Government security frameworks, including the ACSC ISM, Essential Eight, PSPF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO/IEC 27001.

• Security risk assessments, architecture governance, stakeholder engagement and executive-level technical advice.
