A high-profile Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to support the delivery, administration and maintenance of complex, mission-critical ICT systems. You will work across Linux, Ansible, Bash scripting, enterprise infrastructure and monitoring technologies, ensuring secure, reliable and high-performing systems in a highly specialised technical environment. The successful Senior System Administrator will be offered an initial 18-month contract with the possibility of extension, based in Canberra (ACT), with onsite working arrangements.

The successful Senior System Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Install, configure, maintain and monitor Linux-based enterprise systems supporting critical ICT operations.

• Manage infrastructure configuration, platform lifecycle activities and system administration projects.

• Develop and maintain Bash scripts, Ansible automation and technical documentation to support operational continuity.

• Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting and risk management across complex infrastructure and BAU operations.

The successful Senior System Administrator will have experience in the following:

• At least 5 years\' relevant experience, including Linux administration across RHEL, Debian and Ubuntu.

• Ansible configuration management and Bash scripting for system administration and automation.

• Enterprise infrastructure management, platform lifecycle management and networking technologies.

• Enterprise monitoring tools, including Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Xymon or similar technologies.
