A prominent Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Analyst to play a pivotal role in strengthening and safeguarding departmental ICT systems and services. You will join a high-performing cyber security team, contributing to the planning, implementation, and assessment of cyber security frameworks that underpin national initiatives. This is a Canberra-based role with flexible hybrid working arrangements available, including options for candidates located outside the ACT.

The successful Senior Cyber Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Aligning cyber security strategies with ISM, PSPF, Essential 8, and other best practices.
• Supporting IRAP preparation, technical reviews, and security assurance activities.
• Managing cyber risks across on-premise and cloud environments to ensure compliance.
• Providing expert cyber advice, education, and mentoring to internal teams and stakeholders.

The successful Senior Cyber Analyst will have experience in the following:

• Incident detection, triage, investigation, and response, including SOC engagement.
• Managing cyber-related workflows using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
• Applying Australian Government cyber security frameworks (PSPF, ISM, Essential 8).
• Delivering stakeholder engagement, training, and actionable security advice.
