A prominent Federal Government department is seeking two experienced Design Officers to contribute to the delivery of fit-for-purpose, standardised ICT infrastructure across multiple projects. This role is part of a major program of works ensuring consistent ICT infrastructure outcomes that meet user needs, security, usability, and accessibility requirements. The successful Design Officers will be engaged until 30 June 2026, with two further 12-month extension options and flexible working arrangements following an initial six months of full-time on-site work.

The successful Design Officers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Managing and preparing design files for production to align with user needs and standards
• Providing technical information and producing ICT documentation, including room designs, network topologies, rack configurations, and floor plans
• Coordinating quality control, documentation, and stakeholder engagement activities
• Developing design concepts and prototypes, and engaging Subject Matter Experts as required
• Transferring skills and knowledge to staff and ensuring documentation meets recordkeeping policies

The successful Design Officers will have experience in the following:

• ICT communications, infrastructure and associated services
• Technical writing and drafting using AutoCAD and Visio
• Coordinating resources and recording effort accurately
• Working within structured ICT and project management governance frameworks to meet Commonwealth standards
