A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to manage large-scale, complex ICT contracts, oversee vendor performance, and support procurement activities within a major transformation program. The successful Contract Manager will be engaged on an initial contract until June 2026, with the option for two 12-month extensions, and flexible hybrid work arrangements based in Canberra.

The successful Contract Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Establishing and managing multiple complex contracts and vendor relationships, including with large-scale ICT vendors
• Monitoring vendor performance against SLAs and contractual obligations, ensuring quality delivery and compliance
• Leading contract negotiations, supporting procurement activities, and driving value-for-money outcomes
• Providing strategic advice, reporting, and expert guidance to senior executives on procurement and contract management activities
• Identifying, managing, and escalating contract risks while driving process improvement

The successful Contract Manager will have experience in the following:

• Proven experience in managing contracts with software vendors and/or system integrators
• Strong understanding of public sector procurement frameworks, policies, and compliance requirements
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and make informed procurement decisions
• Resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset
