A prominent Federal Government department is seeking two experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineers to support a range of cloud and infrastructure transformation initiatives. These roles are part of a major modernisation program delivering critical infrastructure to support the department’s expanding operations across AWS and Azure environments. The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineers will be engaged through to 30 June 2026, with two further 12-month extension options and hybrid work arrangements.

The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Delivering secure and compliant cloud infrastructure aligned with Commonwealth standards
• Implementing and configuring security controls across AWS and Azure cloud environments
• Contributing to cloud platform roadmaps and technical design of enterprise cloud solutions
• Leading the technical delivery of cloud and infrastructure solutions, collaborating across technical and business teams
• Managing product teams and stakeholders to support cloud adoption, self-service, and platform optimisation

The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineers will have experience in the following:

• High proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud platforms, networking, and cloud security
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g. Python, PowerShell)
• Proven expertise in systems design, installation, availability, and capacity management
• Deep understanding of IT infrastructure tools and problem management processes
• Excellent collaboration, leadership, and technical delivery capabilities in secure cloud environments
