A prominent Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Technology Architect to plan and drive activities to develop organisational systems integration and build capabilities including automation and continuous integration. This exciting opportunity offers a 12-month contract with two 12-month extension options, working onsite in Canberra within a highly secure environment.

The successful Technology Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Plan, implement and control activities to synthesise system components to create operational systems, products or services.
• Monitor emerging technologies and plan technology exploration, implementation and retirement.
• Provide technical leadership in the implementation of infrastructure solutions, infrastructure modernisation including network, cloud and on-premise environments.
• Lead the development of a scalable, secure and reliable network infrastructure network

The successful Technology Architect will have experience in the following:

• Communicates security risks and issues to business managers and others.
• Performs basic risk assessments for small information systems.
• Produces, or approves network providers, network architectures, topologies and configuration databases for own area of responsibility.
• Interprets information assurance and security policies and applies these to manage risks.
