A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage an experienced Data Engineer to join the Digital Transformation Program to work across several data and analytics platforms. The successful Data Engineer will be offered an intial month contract until June 2025 with 1 x 12-month extension option and hybrid working arrangements!

The successful Data Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Optimising Power BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data models tailored to business needs.
• Designing and implementing efficient data models, ensuring they are optimised for performance and usability.
• Collaborating closely with business users and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable Power BI solutions.
• Developing ETL/ELT workflows in Azure Data Factory to ensure reliable and efficient data ingestion.

The successful Data Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Using a Power BI Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise Power BI solutions, with strong expertise in data modelling, SQL, and Azure Databricks
• Strong expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and advanced data visualisation techniques
• Experience working with Engineering, Storage and Analytics services in cloud infrastructure.
• Experience working collaboratively in an agile development team
