A high-profile Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Interaction Designer will be working in a high-performing digital multidisciplinary team to design and deliver a data visualisation tool. You will work closely with other Designers in the team and take guidance or instructions as needed. The successful Interaction Designer will be offered an initial contract until June 2026 with the view to be extended and receive a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Interaction Designer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Design user interfaces and interactions which meet stakeholder and audience needs.
• Ensure UI Kit is up-to-date and consistently applied across all products.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.
• Knowledge transfer plan and future developments

The successful Interaction Designer will have experience in the following:

• Experience in applying data insights to inform design decisions and improve user engagement and functionality.
• Experience in working within government or regulated environments, with an understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
• Experience in using design tools such as Figma to create wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts that support collaborative development.
• Experience working in/with Government an advantage, along with understanding of accessibility standards.
