A prominent Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to responsible for the quality of solution architecture work across an organisation. They provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of systems and software to solve business problems. This exciting opportunity offers a 12 month contract with two 12 month extension options, working onsite in Canberra within a highly secure environment.

The successful Solution Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Establish and/or maintain technical engagement mechanisms to foster a culture of collaboration and partnership to align with project deliverables
• Interpret and communicate high level architectures and design patterns to shape and guide the design and development of integrated solutions.
• Assess emerging and or proposed capability solutions to validate and verify existing requirements and capture emerging requirements.
• Collaborate with business units and technical directors to find alignment between Defence customer expectations and current or future ICT capability.

 The successful Solution Architect will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience in providing technical services to government capability projects
• Strong leadership experience and skill as a technical leader
• Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills
• Experience providing technical directions to projects delivering complex software solutions
