One of Australia’s Federal Government Departments is looking to engage 2 x Technical Business Analyst’s to design and delivery of high-quality data and analytical solutions. You will work closely with policy, operational, and technical stakeholders to document complex processes, define business and data requirements, and support the development of future-state systems and services aligned with organisational strategy. The successful Technical Business Analyst’s will secure an initial 6 month contract with the view to be extended for 6 months with a receive a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Technical Business Analyst’s will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Experience in documenting complex and routine business processes using BPMN, flowcharts, and structured templates, with a focus on cloud-enabled and data-driven workflows.
• Conduct gap analysis and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements that support cloud and analytics platform delivery.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including policy, operational, and cloud, data, and technical delivery teams.
• Develop compelling business cases supported by data, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessment.

The successful Technical Business Analyst’s will have experience in the following:

• Sound understanding of cloud-based data and analytics platforms, architectures, and concepts relevant to public sector reporting, insights, and decision-making.
• Strong capability in data analysis, interpretation, and visualisation using tools such as AWS, Azure, Google, SAS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms operating in cloud environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including policy, operational, and cloud, data, and technical delivery teams.
• Skilled in building consensus, fostering alignment, and supporting co-design practices for platform-based and analytics-enabled solutions.
