A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking to engage experienced Procurement Officer to join a high-performing team. The successful Procurement Officer will provide quality, accurate and timely procurement advice to stakeholders to ensure compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act. The successful Procurement Officer will secure an initial 3 month contract with view to go permanened, based in Canberra with hybrid working arrangements.

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Work with business areas to identify procurement needs, and encourage early engagement, alongside decision makers to ensure procurements are effective, promote proper use of resources, and deliver value for money.
• Create, update and maintain procurement records in TechOne and BuyICT.
• Create, update and maintain AusTender approaches to market, panel arrangements & reporting obligations.

 The Procurement Officer will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience as a procurement Officer within federal government
• Experience with TechOne, AusTender and BuyICT
• Training in Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act compliance.
• Completion of or progression towards Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Procurement and Contracting is highly desirable
