A high profile Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Lead Data Analyst to design, analyse and deliver relevant, trusted and objective statistics and data-related insights. This exciting opportunity offers a 12 month contract with two 12 month extension options and a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Lead Data Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Lead and support operations of the team including monitoring business performance, setting priorities, and managing resources and workflow
• Lead and manage staff including overseeing the management of performance, attendance and health and wellbeing
• Develop staff capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning to increase performance, engagement and retention
• Undertake and assist with business management and workforce planning

 The successful Lead Data Analyst will have experience in the following:

• Ability to devises and implement master data management processes for specific subsets of data. Assesses the integrity of data from multiple sources.
• Ability to source and prepare data for analysis and performs standard business intelligence analysis activities.
• Ability to apply a variety of visualisation techniques and designs the content and appearance of data visuals.
• Ability to plan own data modelling and design activities, selecting appropriate techniques and the correct level of detail for meeting assigned objectives
