One of Australia's high profile Federal Government departments is looking to engage an experienced Backend API Developer to be responsible for designing, developing and supporting the digital platform services and consumer APIs that power the Federal Government Departments web applications, portals and mobile applications. The successful Backend API Developer will secure a 12 month contract with the view to be extended for a further 12 months and receive a rewarding hourly rate!

The successful Backend API Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Develop and support cloud-native applications deployed to Kubernetes and AWS EKS environments.
• Collaborate closely with frontend development teams, Salesforce developers, MuleSoft integration teams and solution architects to deliver integrated digital solutions.
• Design and implement authentication, authorisation and secure integration patterns that enable web, portal and mobile applications to access enterprise services.

The successful Backend API Developer will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience developing secure, scalable backend services and APIs using Golang in enterprise or large-scale digital environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of API design and integration patterns, including GraphQL, authentication and authorisation, API lifecycle management and service-to-service communication.
• Experience developing and operating cloud-native applications using Kubernetes and AWS services.
