One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments is looking to engage an experienced Data Architect to be the technical lead of the complex federal governemnt’s platform. This includes updating data development documentation, providing technical guidance to developers and reviewing/ approving data designs and data models. The role will provide thought leadership in Data Architecture, Data Modelling, Design and Integration, as well as End to End Data Delivery Lifecycle approaches. The successful Data Architect will secure a 12 month contract with the view to be extended for a further 12 months and receive a rewarding hourly rate!

The successful Data Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Provide technical leadership to the project delivery teams through design reviews, advising on implementation best practices, defining and refining release process and technical workshops.
• Review and refine the data delivery framework to enhance integration of new sources, performance of existing data delivery and rapid development of new subject areas.
• Set peer review and data modelling release standards.

The successful Data Architect will have experience in the following:

• Strong Data Architecture skills including Enterprise scale conformed models and ability to design for analytical use.
• Demonstrated high level of competency in Data Architecture within an AWS cloud data environment, encompassing S3 and contemporary cloud warehouse products.
• Strong experience in technical leadership for delivery of cloud Data Lake and Data Warehouse platforms, including ETL and data governance design and implementation.
