An innovative Federal Government Agency is looking to engage an experienced Data Engineer to work in a high performing data warehousing team delivering analytics products. The Data Engineer will secure a 4-month contract with a 12-month option to extend, with flexible working arrangements.

The Successful Candidate will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and code-first ELT processes
• Optimise pipeline performance through performance-tuning techniques.
• Design and maintain reference data tables using manual and automated mechanisms
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data pipeline performance and issues.

The successful candidates will have experience in the following:

• Business analysis of complex digital systems through stakeholder engagement, SQL data analysis and researching available resources
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance
• Ability to integrate disparate data assets through judicious use of reference data
• Familiarity with the Australia’s exports systems. Demonstrated ethical conduct.
• Ability to maintain the optimal execution performance of a complex data pipeline
