We are seeking Senior Systems Administrator to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Systems Administrator will play a key role in managing, maintaining and improving enterprise systems, supporting system builds, automation, infrastructure operations and systems integration activities across a large-scale technology environment.

The successful Systems Administrator will secure an initial 12 month contract with 2x12 month extension options, based in Canberra, ACT.

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Leading the installation, configuration and maintenance of multiple systems
• Using automation tools to support continuous configuration management of system builds
• Managing hardware and operating system support activities
• Working with system administrators and software developers to improve processes and procedures
• Preparing technical documentation in line with agreed policies and procedures

The Systems Administrator will have experience in the following:

• Prior experience in IT infrastructure operations, maintenance, and improvement
• Experience designing, supporting and maintaining complex systems
• Experience with systems installation, removal, configuration, and handover activities
• Strong system software provisioning, testing and troubleshooting experience
• Experience supporting systems integration, build activities and test environments
