A prominent Federal Government Department is seeking experienced Senior System Analysts to join a high-performing Agile delivery team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of solutions supporting Australia's Visa and Citizenship processing systems, including client-facing applications and complex backend platforms. The successful Senior System Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, testers and scrum teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver critical outcomes across large-scale ICT projects. The Senior System Analyst will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options, based in Canberra, with hybrid working arrangements available following an initial onboarding period.

The successful Senior System Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Manage business requirements, expectations and scope while supporting Agile delivery teams.
• Facilitate workshops, perform solution design, problem analysis and develop functional and technical specifications.
• Produce key project artefacts including user stories, use cases, data mapping, defect resolution documentation and technical specifications.
• Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to identify, prioritise and implement system enhancements and business improvements.

To be successful, the Senior System Analyst will demonstrate:

• Minimum 3 years\' experience working as a Systems Analyst on medium to large-scale ICT projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, consultation and facilitation skills.
• Experience producing technical specifications, functional designs, data mappings and solution documentation.
• Experience working with Mainframe environments and knowledge of SQL, Visio, XML and related tools will be highly regarded.
