An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Lead Backend API Developer / Principal Developer to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale backend services and consumer API platforms. You will provide technical leadership across Golang, GraphQL, AWS and Kubernetes, supporting digital web, portal and mobile applications.

The successful Lead Backend API Developer will be offered an initial 12-month contract with the view to be extended, with opportunities across QLD, ACT, VIC and NSW and hybrid working arrangements.

The successful Lead Backend API Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Lead the design and evolution of enterprise API platforms.
• Define API architecture, engineering standards and development practices.
• Drive automated testing, CI/CD, observability and platform automation.
• Mentor developers and provide senior technical leadership.

The successful Lead Backend API Developer will have experience in the following:

• Golang, GraphQL and enterprise API architecture.
• AWS, Amazon EKS and Kubernetes cloud-native environments.
• Authentication, authorisation and modern integration patterns.
• CI/CD, automated testing and engineering governance.
