One of Australia's most progressive Federal Government departments are looking to engage a Risk Officer to support the sustainment and enhancement of a critical ICT system. The successful Risk Officer will analyse risks and review controls and mitigation plans to provide expert advice to enhance risk management across key capability programs. The successful Risk Officer will be offered an initial contract until June 30 with a 12 month extension option.
The successful Risk Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Analysing relevant data and reporting against key priority performance measures.
- Developing and implementing targeted improvements to uplift capability risk management and governance in accordance with relevant legislative and policy frameworks.
- Developing risk management performance metrics and reporting for governance and oversight.
- Assessing capability risk management governance; including identifying systemic risks, trends, and deficiencies.
The successful Risk Officer will have experience in the following:
- 5-10 years of experience in risk management.
- Experience working with Federal Government/ Defence environments.
- Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Engineering, Project Management,
Business, or a related discipline
