A leading Federal Government program is seeking a Systems Administrator/IT Administrator to support the build, sustainment, and security of cutting-edge research ICT systems. This role offers a contract until 30 June with the view to extend, contributing to experimental computing environments that drive national innovation in a collaborative team environment.
The successful Systems Administrator/IT Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Build, deploy, and document specialised ICT infrastructure for experimental labs and mobile constructs.
Administer secure connectivity between research systems and core networks, adhering to ASD ISM protocols.
Manage server/workstation environments (Linux/Windows), firewalls, and instrumentation integration.
Operate and support scientific computing platforms and bespoke research software.
The successful Systems Administrator/IT Administrator will have experience in the following:
Strong knowledge of Linux/Windows platforms and core network services (AD, DNS, DHCP).
Experience in network engineering, including switching, routing, and next-gen firewalls.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex ICT issues and implement secure digital solutions.
Familiarity with ITIL practices and cyber security principles (ASD ISM).
