We are seeking Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Senior DevOps Engineer will work closely with development teams to support fast, efficient and high-quality delivery through automation, CI/CD, observability and release engineering practices.

The successful Senior DevOps Engineer will secure an initial 18-month contract with 2x12 month extension options, based in Canberra, Onsite.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Developing, maintaining & supporting CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling and automation scripts.
• Driving observability, monitoring, and alerting across platform tools and services.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and environment management.
• Identifying release engineering risks & implementing process improvements for DevOps workflows.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
• Strong experience implementing and maintaining build, deployment, and release tooling.
• Experience improving developer productivity, release frequency and operational outcomes.
• Ability to support availability management, systems integration & secure development practices.
