We are seeking Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialists to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialists will play a key role in investigating cyber security threats from internal, domestic, and international sources, analysing threat actors, emerging trends, tactics, techniques and procedures.

 

The successful Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialists will secure an initial contract until 30 June 2027 with 12 month extension option, based in Canberra, and flexible working arrangements.

 

The Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialists will be responsible for but not limited to;

Monitoring government and third-party CTI feeds to identify potential cyber threats

  • Collecting, triaging and analysing technical and open-source indicators
  • Producing intelligence alerts, threat assessments, threat profiles and executive briefs
  • Mapping findings to MITRE ATT&CK and recognised threat models
  • Working with cyber security operations teams to uplift monitoring and support detection engineering

 

The Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialists will have experience in the following:

  • Extensive cyber threat intelligence or threat assessment experience within Federal Government
  • Prior knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, Diamond Model, Kill Chain and cyber-attack TTPs
  • Experience using SIEM platforms to identify vulnerability exposure and threat activity
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports and playbooks linked to cyber threat intelligence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive briefing capability
