We are seeking a Test Lead to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Test Lead will play a key role in overseeing quality assurance activities across key projects including M365 and Exchange, Data Migration, Records and Information Management, ensuring systems meet required standards before release.

The successful Test Lead will secure an initial contract until 30 June 2027 with 12 month extension options, based in Canberra with flexible working arrangements.

The Test Lead will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Managing the quality assurance testing process across software and systems
• Developing comprehensive test plans, objectives, scope, schedules and resources
• Leading, mentoring and assigning work to testers across the stream
• Designing and executing test scenarios and test cases across functional requirements
• Managing defects, bugs, test cases, success criteria and reporting through DevOps

The Test Lead will have experience in the following:

• Prior experience in software testing, including leading testing teams
• Experience managing test cycles and testing activities in DevOps
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools and the SDLC
• Proven ability to review test artefacts including test cases, scripts and test data
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication and leadership skills
