A highly regarded organisation is seeking an experienced SAP Operations Lead for an initial contract until 30 October 2026 + possibility of extension, working in Hobart or Melbourne, to lead the end-to-end technical and operational performance, stability and continuous improvement of the departments SAP environment, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, optimised and aligned to business strategy and service standards.

The successful SAP Operations Lead will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Oversee SAP application support across core modules, ensuring optimal configuration, performance and integration.
• Lead and develop the SAP Operational team including Technical Specialist & SAP Basis Specialist, building deep platform capability and resilience.
• Govern SAP Basis administration including upgrades, patching, transport management and system monitoring.
• Accountable for high-quality incident, problem and change management processes across SAP environments, leading cross-divisional response to all system issues
• Maintain strong vendor relationships for SAP support, upgrades and specialist expertise.

The successful SAP Operations Lead will have experience in the following:

• Significant technical leadership experience to ensure quality, scalability & long-term sustainability across the SAP landscape.
• Tertiary qualification in IT or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• ITIL Foundation (minimum) or equivalent operational service management experience.
