We are seeking Enterprise Solution Architect to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Enterprise Solution Architect will provide architecture guidance and support to technology work programs and technologists ensuring alignment between solutions and the department’s intended future state. The successful Enterprise Solution Architect will secure an initial 12-month contract with the view to be extended for 2 years and receive a rewarding hourly rate.

The Enterprise Solution Architect will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Leading architecture outcomes from the centre to ensure a strategic approach to the Department’s investment in technology and the cohesive delivery of technology products and services.
• Coordinating and developing a repository of key architectural artefacts such as reference architectures, standards, guidelines, and reference models which serve as blueprints for technology product delivery.
• Building partnerships and collaborate with internal business and IT stakeholders along with external partners from other agencies.
• Identifying and escalating architectural risks, issues and critical dependencies that threaten delivery of capability.
• Ensuring all proposed technical solutions align with the Department’s Enterprise Architecture and are consistent with future technology roadmaps and our planned transition to cloud.

The Enterprise Solution Architect will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated 7+ years of hands-on work experience in a system/platform technical design, software development or system/platform administration field.
• Strong Proficiency in analysing business and technical requirements to provide strategic guidance and support decision making.
• Proven experience in managing and delivering multiple lines of tasking in a resource constrained environment.
• Ability to think critically and respectfully contest ideas to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, including communicating technical and architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
