An innovative Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Application Administrator and Systems Administrator to join its Digital Workspace team. The Application Administrator and Systems Administrator will be responsible for developing and implementing an application virtualisation design to deliver applications to existing environments. You will be offered an initial 12 month contract with the view to be extended for a further 24 months and receiving a rewarding hourly rate.

The Application Administrator and Systems Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Develop an application virtualisation design to deliver applications to existing environments.
• Implementation of above design into test and production environments, performing a migration to the new solution.
• Develop a third-party patching design. Integrate the third-party patching solution into Configuration Manager to provide automated patching.
• Validate system and security compliance of existing applications and develop a strategy for uplifting applications and a patching cycle.

 The Application Administrator and Systems Administrator will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of applications running on a windows desktop environment.
• Demonstrated experience in System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Application Virtualisation.
• Demonstrated experience with Application Packaging and PowerShell scripting
