A supportive and prominent Federal Government Department is looking to engage an experienced Security Architect to drive the future direction of the Blueprint with the aim of ensuring government is building security into their cloud and hybrid systems from the outset. This will involve developing publicly available templates, patterns and advice to support organisation to make informed risk-based design decisions when configuring their cloud or hybrid environments built on Microsoft 365.

The successful Security Architect will secure a 12 month contract with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12 months aligned with a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Security Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• design, configuration and deployment of collaborative and secure cloud and hybrid workspaces, with a current focus on Microsoft 365.
• play a key role in driving the future direction of the Blueprint with the aim of ensuring government is building security into their cloud and hybrid systems from the outset.
• developing publicly available templates, patterns and advice to support organisation to make informed risk-based design decisions when configuring their cloud or hybrid environments built on Microsoft 365.
• Working with cloud systems, such as Azure / Microsoft 365 and AWS.
• Preparation of security architectures for assessment, including within the Independent Registered Assessor Program (IRAP).

The successful Security Architect will have experience in the following:

• Experience designing, deploying and verifying secure cloud solutions
•  Relevant technical certifications, including Azure Solutions Architect, Azure/Microsoft Security Engineer or Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert
• Experience managing core Microsoft infrastructure including Azure, Microsoft 365 and Intune
• Experience aligning Microsoft Cloud solutions with ISM, the Blueprint or other relevant industry security standards, and
• Experience working with a security focus on system design, development and engineering.
