A high-profile Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced ITSM Service Manager to oversee IT service management processes supporting critical national security initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Australia’s cyber and intelligence capabilities. The successful candidate will secure an initial 12-month contract with two 12-month extension options and a rewarding hourly rate.

The ITSM Service Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing and updating ITSM documentation in alignment with ITIL v4 best practices
  • Designing and implementing ITSM processes
  • Conducting ITSM process reviews to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborating across Defence stakeholders to ensure successful service delivery alignment
  • Preparing high-level briefings and presentations for executive stakeholders
  • Contributing to business process improvement and organisational policy development

The successful ITSM Service Manager will have:

  • Minimum 5 years\' experience in ITSM and Service Delivery, ideally within a Defence environment
  • Proficiency in ITIL v4 and practical implementation of service management frameworks
  • Demonstrated skills in process improvement, technology service management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication capabilities
