A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking minimum 6 experienced Lead Actuaries to support the forecasting and sustainability of a major national program. This is a unique opportunity to apply your actuarial skills in a high-impact policy environment. The successful candidates will secure an initial 12-month contract with a 12-month extension option, and benefit from an attractive hourly rate and hybrid work arrangements.

The Lead Actuary will be responsible for:

• Providing high-level actuarial and statistical advice to support key strategic decisions
• Designing and managing complex forecasting and monitoring models
• Delivering insightful reports and presenting findings to internal stakeholders
• Overseeing performance monitoring, data analysis, and reporting activities
• Managing detailed modelling projects aligned to operational and legislative requirements

The successful Lead Actuary will have:

• 7–15 years of relevant experience in actuarial analysis and forecasting
• Recently qualified AIAA or FIAA (within the last 6 years)
• Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong capability in model design, data analysis, and communicating technical insights
• Experience working across internal and external stakeholder groups at a senior level
