Work with a major Federal Government agency on critical cyber security initiatives

A leading Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen its defensive capabilities and enhance the maturity of its cyber operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work across cutting-edge security platforms in a cloud-first environment while contributing to a nationally significant program.

The successful Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Leading the development and enhancement of cyber security technologies and processes
• Designing and delivering core cyber capabilities including SIEM, SOAR, Vulnerability Management and Threat Intelligence
• Working closely with the Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) to evolve threat detection and response platforms
• Translating complex technical processes into simple, repeatable solutions and mentoring junior staff
• Producing and maintaining high-quality documentation including architectural designs and SOPs
• Providing technical advice to support cyber-related procurement activities

The successful Cyber Security Engineer will have experience in:

• Engineering and developing use cases in SIEM platforms (e.g. Splunk ES, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, AWS Security Hub)
• Vulnerability Management using platforms such as Microsoft Defender, Rapid7, Tenable or Dynatrace
• Threat Intelligence platform management (e.g. Microsoft, Threatstream, ThreatIQ)
• Automation in cyber platforms and familiarity with DevSecOps monitoring tools
• Working within cloud environments such as Azure, M365 and AWS
