A leading Federal Government Department is seeking experienced Data Architects to join a highly skilled team delivering critical capability to support national security outcomes. The successful Data Architects will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extensions and hybrid working arrangements based in Canberra, ACT.

The successful Data Architects will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Leading and producing solution designs, system views and architectures to meet business requirements.
• Designing and managing data stores to support secure AI/ML processing and business intelligence needs.
• Creating and maintaining data models, defining relationships across structured and unstructured data entities.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects and analysts to ensure alignment with Defence and business requirements.

The successful Data Architects will have experience in the following:

• Delivering technical services and direction for Defence capability projects.
• Strong leadership skills with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Designing and managing complex data architecture solutions for large-scale environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, database design, and emerging technologies.
