A leading Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Developer) to deliver high-impact capability outcomes supporting national security initiatives. This exciting opportunity offers a 12-month contract with two 12-month extension options.

The successful Software Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Designing and implementing scalable IAM solutions using Oracle Unified Directory, Active Directory, and Ping Federate
• Developing secure authentication and authorisation integrations using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML
• Building, integrating, and maintaining robust APIs to support application functionality and interoperability
• Developing software in Java, Python, PowerShell and deploying on RHEL environments, with strong documentation and lifecycle management

The successful Software Engineer will demonstrate experience in the following:

• Proven experience with Java, Python, PowerShell, RHEL, API development, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), protocols like OAuth and SAML, and tools such as Ping and Entrust
• Expertise in software lifecycle practices including Agile methodologies, documentation, and automation
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional technical teams in a high-security environment
