A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking multiple Senior Actuaries to support a major national program focused on delivering expert analysis, modelling, and reporting functions. These high-impact roles involve leading actuarial activities that influence strategy, policy development, and performance monitoring. The successful Senior Actuaries will be engaged on an initial 12-month contract, with a further 12-month extension, and flexible hybrid work arrangements across multiple states.

The successful Senior Actuaries will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Extracting, cleansing, and preparing data from multiple sources, including data warehouses
  • Developing and updating performance monitoring frameworks
  • Supporting statutory reporting requirements, including public data sharing
  • Designing and applying actuarial, statistical, and mathematical modelling techniques to address business issues
  • Conducting ad hoc modelling requests and preparing reports
  • Effectively communicating outcomes and progress of actuarial work

The successful Senior Actuaries will have experience in the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • Progress toward Associate and/or Fellowship qualifications (Actuarial Education Parts I, II, and progress with Part III)
  • 4–7 years of experience in actuarial, analytical, or modelling roles
  • Strong skills in model design, data analytics, and performance reporting
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and advise on complex actuarial matters
