A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join their team and support the development of greater data capability, advancing a ‘data-informed diplomacy’ function. The successful Senior Data Scientist will secure a 12-month contract, with two 12-month extensions, and receive a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Maintaining and developing data systems to support ‘data-informed diplomacy’ objectives
• Conducting data analysis and visualisation activities
• Maintaining and developing AI tools to support policy analysis

The successful Senior Data Scientist will have experience in the following:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, R, Python, SQL, and AI APIs/libraries (Azure, OpenAI)
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and DAX
• Background in data wrangling, cleaning, modelling, and integration across multiple sources
