A high-profile Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Senior Data and Research Engineer to join a leading national intelligence program. You will prepare raw data for analytical or operational uses. The successful candidate will secure an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options in either Canberra or Melbourne, and enjoy a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Senior Data and Research Engineer will be responsible for:

• Identify and undertake analysis to define and solve complex data engineering challenges.
• Understand, use and build tools and techniques to develop and test data engineering solutions Leading discovery and assessment of current network topology and segmentation
• Build maintain and deploy data pipelines analytical environments and models and data stores to store transform, integrate, analyse and transport data and meta-data from a variety of sources to enable others to use and analyse data.

The successful Senior Data and Research Engineer will have:

• Business Intelligence – Experience sourcing and preparing data for analysis and perform standard BI analysis
• Data Engineering – Plan and drive the development of data engineering solutions
• Data Management – Device and implement master data management processes.
