A high-profile Federal Government Agency is seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to support a major data integration and cloud migration initiative. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical innovation in a dynamic, agile environment. The successful candidate will be offered a 12-month contract with multiple extension options and a competitive hourly rate.

The successful Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Structuring and optimising large-scale data sets to meet business objectives.
• Leading the migration of on-premise workflows from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC.
• Maintaining and enhancing the Informatica IDMC platform and integration touchpoints across AWS, Azure, and on-premise environments.
• Automating data delivery and streamlining processes using AWS and SQL technologies.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring within a small agile team.

The successful Lead Data Engineer will have experience in the following:

• ETL/ELT development using Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC.
• Data integration across RDBMS, OpenSearch, Oracle, Aurora, and Azure Dataverse.
• SQL-based data migration and manipulation.
• AWS infrastructure management, including EC2 and Fargate.
• Agile team collaboration and stakeholder communication.

Desirable experience includes:

• Data engineering with Python and PySpark using AWS Glue.
• Familiarity with AWS Sagemaker, Oracle RDBMS, and Azure Dataverse.
• Data profiling and quality analysis in migration projects.
