A prominent Federal Government Agency is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the delivery of scalable, secure, and automated software systems. This role is part of a major initiative to enhance continuous delivery pipelines and cloud infrastructure across critical platforms. The successful candidate will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 3 x 12-month extension options, based in the ACT with flexible hybrid arrangements.

The successful Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Automating and orchestrating deployment and provisioning tasks in cloud and containerised environments (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes/EKS).
• Supporting development and testing teams with configuration and environment troubleshooting.
• Managing release kits and overseeing deployments to pre-production and production environments.
• Maintaining and upgrading DevOps tools including Jenkins, Digital.ai, SonarQube, and GitHub.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pipeline automation and efficiency.

The successful Senior DevOps Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Implementing solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Working with DevOps/DevSecOps/IaC tools and practices.
• Container orchestration using Docker, Kaniko, and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Development experience in Java, Groovy, and Python.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and build tools like Maven, Gradle, and npm.
• Leading technical teams and managing project delivery timelines.
