One of Australia's leading Federal Government agencies is looking to engage a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Threat Hunter to conduct proactive searches for malicious activity on the department’s network, ensuring the protection of our global network from malicious actors.  The successful Cyber Security Threat Hunter will be offered a 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extensions!

The successful Cyber Security Threat Hunter will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Proactively hunting for threats across the network
• Creating and maintaining threat detection tools, including custom use cases and dashboards.
• Analysing security events and logs to identify patterns of potential anomalous activity, recommend security enhancements, and assist in developing countermeasures to prevent future incidents.

The successful Cyber Security Threat Hunter will have experience in the following:

• Proficiency in log analysis and threat detection using SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, etc).
• Utilising attack frameworks such as the MITRE ATT&CK framework in Incident response or threat hunting activities.
• Designing, implementing and testing use cases to detect potential malicious activity.
