A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to implement, manage and retire the infrastructure that supports digital services. The successful Infrastructure Engineer will be offered an initial 12 month contract with the view to extended for a further 2 x12 months and receive a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Assessing a wide range of systems and configurations for cyber security issues.
• Conducting workshops and running assessment tooling to elicit information required for an accurate assessment of an environment
• Providing recommendations for remediation of cyber security issues
• Assessing security controls based on cybersecurity principles 

The successful Infrastructure Engineer will have experience in the following:

• A minimum 5 years of experience in a Cyber security role
• Determining how a security system should work and how changes in conditions, operations or the environment will affect these outcomes.
• Writing code in a current supported programming language - Java, C++
• Hands-on understanding in recognising vulnerabilities in security systems
