One of Australia’s leading Federal Government agencies is looking to engage a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to support and enhance the Department’s global ICT network, providing secure, reliable connectivity to staff in more than 50 countries. The successful Network Engineer will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 12-month extensions!

The successful Network Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Providing Level 2 and 3 network support and administration for a large global network environment.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining Cisco and Fortinet hardware and software across data centres, SD-WAN, VPN remote access and Wi-Fi platforms.
• Managing system upgrades and enhancements to maintain a Maturity Level 2 security posture in line with ISM guidelines.
• Ensuring all network documentation and SOPs are current and accurate.

The successful Network Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAuthenticator, FortiAnalyzer) and Cisco network infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF), QoS, VPN and DMVPN/ADVPN.
• Experience using SolarWinds or similar network monitoring tools.
• Sound knowledge of network authentication and encryption protocols (IPSEC/IKE, RADIUS, TACACS+, SSL/TLS).
