One of Australia’s most innovative Federal Government agencies is looking to engage a Lead Penetration Tester to join its high-performing cyber security team. This exciting role offers the chance to work on mission-critical national security programs and cutting-edge cyber defence initiatives. The successful Lead Penetration Tester will be offered an initial 12-month contract with two 12-month extensions and a lucrative hourly rate!

The successful Lead Penetration Tester will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Conducting infrastructure and web application penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and configuration weaknesses.
• Assessing environments against the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM).
• Simulating adversary tradecraft to test prevention and detection capabilities, including privilege escalation and lateral movement.
• Identifying weaknesses in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD environments.
• Assessing web applications and APIs for OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Developing and automating custom penetration testing tools and scripts.

The successful Lead Penetration Tester must have experience in the following:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in infrastructure and/or web application penetration testing.
• Strong understanding of ISM-aligned security controls and enterprise vulnerabilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in testing and exploiting Active Directory, Azure AD, and common web application weaknesses.
• Certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, GWAPT, OSWE or OSCE.
